By Car:

Proceeding along Wood from Becontree Heath (A124), Take A 1240 towards Heathway. Continue past shopping centre and railway station (Underground Dagenham Heathway) at the bottom of the hill, turn right into Hedgemans Road. Chaplin Road is the fifth turning on the left. The church is a short way down the road on the left. Coming from Martins Corner (Wood Lane), take 1153 (Porters Avenue) at mini roundabout turn left on to Gale Street, continue past shopping centre and railway station
( Becontree) at bottom of  hill
(mini roundabout) turn left (Hedgemans Road)Take fourth turning on the right (Chaplin Road) The Church is on the left a short way down this road.

By Train:

If using Dagenham Heathway Station (District Line)… turn right out of the station and walk to the bottom of the hill.
Turn right along Hedgemans Road. Chaplin Road is the fifth turning on the left. The Church is a short way down this road.
If using Becontree Station (District Line)… turn right of the station and walk to the bottom of the hill.
Turn left along Hedgemans Road.
Chaplin Road is the fourth turning on the right.
The Church is a short way down this road.

By Bus:

The No. 145 bus service runs along Hedgemans Road from Becontree Station (bus stop opposite station) to Hatfield Road stop. The No. 145 runs from Church Elm Lane (if coming from Heathway Station) and stops at Hatfield Road bus stop.

On Foot:

The walking time from either station is approximately 20 minutes.

The Girls’ Brigade (GB) is a Christian, international organisation working alongside girls and young women of every background, ability and culture.
 1st Dagenham Company is led by Christian women from Dagenham Baptist Church. These leaders are trained volunteers who are committed to provide a regular meeting time of activities and skills for girls and young women.
